On Saturday, May 14th, Fine Arts students, Dance Crew, and Robotics students were able to perform and showcase for KIPP’s 20th Anniversary of being in Austin. Students from band, guitar, steel drums, and voice were able to perform on the villa for guests to enjoy. Dance students would rally up the crowd as the music played to create a more lively environment. And Robotic students showcased their years worth of hard-work to guests who wanted to learn more about what KAC had to offer.
Guests not only mingled amongst themselves, but were even encouraged to talk to the musicians and dancers as a way to learn more about KAC’s Fine Arts program. Even students from KAL were seen participating in booths, talking about what organizations they had on their campus such as a GSA and their own robotics team.

As the night ended, Illiana Hernandez, Senior Class President and Dance Crew leader, gave a speech looking back on her years at KIPP and shared some insight on her future post-secondary path at Texas State. Once speeches were over, guests were able to participate in an auction. Money would end up helping provide more funding for KIPP schools so many guests were happy to participate.

Once the auction ended, KIPP Alumni musicians helped end the night peacefully with more music as all other students headed back to campus, celebrating their success representing KAC strongly.
