Does your school sell yearbooks at the end of the school year? This year, KAC will.
KIPP Austin Collegiate seniors are excited to announce the return of the yearbook after the pandemic caused it to disappear for two years. After a gap in which many seniors didn’t have a yearbook to themselves, with records of memories or their senior pictures to look at when they grow older, this year a group of seniors stepped up to give the school a yearbook.
According to members of the new yearbook staff, there shall be new things inside of the 2023 yearbook unlike others before, including updates on past school teachers and bringing back senior quotes. There will be photos from students’ middle school, elementary school, and Comunidad teachers as well, including all the teachers that have taught us the past couple of years growing up.
There will also be pictures of our school organizations such as our clubs, which is important because we have new clubs and teams like the Robotics program’s Dinobytes, Lego Club, Speech and Debate, Boys Volleyball, and the Winter Wonderland homecoming dance. This yearbook will have pictures of our students in elementary school, and the theme of the yearbook was inspired by the adventure book from Up, the Disney movie we all loved watching growing up.
When will the yearbook come out?
For now, staff members are saying they expect the yearbook to come out around May. The only thing that the team is uncertain about is the price of the yearbook.

This is our school’s team, the team that made it possible for the yearbook to make a comeback. The team members are Anna-Karen, is the business editor, Melissa Vargas is the photographer editor, Ana Sanchez is the editor-in-chief, and Lizeth Moctezuma is the managing editor. The yearbook designers are Destiny Martinez and Danela Lira. And if it wasn’t for this team, we wouldn’t be having a yearbook for this year. We are excited for this upcoming yearbook and the things it has to offer.
