As spring break approaches, many people will travel and hang out with friends. But with so many choices, which is the most fun and inexpensive? Having a lot of options to choose from anywhere from arcades, restaurants, movies, parks, and even video games that you can play during the break— yet with arcades being a very social and fun place to spend time in, I narrowed down a list is my top favorite arcades in Austin that I recommend you visit this spring break.

Cidercade is up first in this showcase. The best part of this arcade is the unlimited games available with only an entrance fee of $10 dollars! From classics like Street Fighter to new games like Halo (the arcade game), the place has a good atmosphere and entertainment for hours. And providing personal pizzas, chicken wings, and more: the food is standard for a typical arcade.

Dave and Busters is another solid choice for an arcade, being a great place to hang out with friends and family. From the classic arcade atmosphere to the great games and prizes, there are so many options to choose from. This arcade, compared to the others on this list, has free entry, as everything is paid for with a prepaid card. With this system in place, you can decide how much money to put into each card, working well with any budget. Not to mention, Dave and Busters have days where games are half off, making it an even better way to spend time with friends!

And last but not least, Austin’s (previously known as Austin’s Park and Pizza), having entertainment ranging from arcade games to go-karts, is by far the best arcade in Austin. Apart from the arcades and go-kart track, Austin’s follows itself up with laser tag, carnival rides, rock climbing, and even bowling alleys. For only $50 dollars, you are able to enjoy all attractions with an unlimited buffet included. The buffet includes varying items such as pizza, wings, pasta, and salads. Though bowling is not included in the package, since the alley has to be rented, the cost starts at $20 dollars per hour. But overall, Austin’s is a great place to have fun with many options to choose from.
