5 fun activities for the month of October!!

As the spooky season and the beautiful breeze of fall arrive, we all look for fun things to do with friends and family members. Here are five fun activities that will be happening this month. 

Austin City Limits Music Festival 

The Austin City Limits (ACL) music festival is at Austin Zilker Park for two weekends straight and has more stages than before. They’ll have Kendrick Lamar, Ivan Cornejo, The Lumineers, Meggie Rogers, Major Lazer, and way more!!!!

 When: October 6-8 and October 13-15

Mexican-Arte Museum 

The annual Viva La Vida Festival, founded by the Mexican-Arte

When: Saturday October 28, 2023 

Where: 4th street and congress Avenue, Austin tx 

Time: from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Pumpkin Nights

This is an adventure that you can enjoy with anyone: a half-mile walk path where they have “The Forbidden City” , a “pirates cove,” and more! Using hand-carved, real and artificial pumpkins, and also having games that you can participate in.  Charging $10 per car (cash or card)

Weekday Tickets: Adults (+13)- 20$ Little (4-12) -15$ 3 & under- FREE 

Weekend Tickets: Adult (+13): 28$ Little (4-12) – 20$ 3 & under- FREE charging 10$ per car (cash or card) 

When: Closed on Tuesdays. On weekdays, it is open until 10:30. Yet the village closes until 11:00 on weekends; it’s open until 11:00 and the village closes until 11:30. 

House of Torment

 The House of Torment—a classic one! This fall, the houses you can visit include “Infestation”, “They Returned, and the “Book of Lost Souls”.  You can add more to your experience, such as mini escape rooms, and “Sensory Overload” in which you’ll need to use your hands to guide your way, as you walk, duck, step over, and squeeze through strange spaces. Also, the “Hades Zombie Simulation,” a zombie shooting experience featuring live actors and utilizing GellyBall Guns, which lasts 5min.

Bat Season in Austin!!

 Perfect for that spooky season, go and enjoy a beautiful afternoon and watch all the bats come out of Congress Avenue Bridge and start their night in downtown Austin!!
