Top 4 ideas for Senior Skip Day

Senior Skip Day is a yearly tradition where seniors don’t come to school and do many fun activities to celebrate their accomplishments. Many seniors, when it comes to these types of events, don’t know what to do or where to go. Here are some fun and enjoyable activities you can do for Senior Skip Day.

  1. Boat day with friends:

The first activity that you could possibly consider is renting a boat and going with friends. As in previous years, the school has given us the opportunity to enjoy this day at our own expenses with a boat. Which includes food with a private chef, drinks, and a 4 hour ride on a double decker with a slide. This option is very limited because it is in the high price range, which students won’t want to pay but might find worth it. In order to participate in this activity, you need to fill out a Google form to reserve your spot.

  1. Pool day:

The second activity you could do for this day is hang out with friends at the pool. One of the pool options you could go to is Barton Springs in downtown Austin, near Zilker Park. Barton Springs is a popular pool that many people in Austin go to because of its affordability. Keep in mind that the water is really cold since it is lake wise. Another option for pool day is going to a friend’s neighborhood pool. For this hot day, there are some items you should bring, like sunscreen, towels, water toys, floaties, and snacks.

  1. Picnic day:

To continue with these amazing ideas, the third option we have is a picnic day with friends. As spring is here and the weather is wonderful, a picnic would be an amazing idea to consider. As in TikTok, many groups of friends do picnics and dress up in cute dresses as if they were vintage, and it looks really cute. What to bring to a picnic? Each friend can be assigned a different snack or thing to bring. The most important element for a picnic is a big sheet or blanket to sit on. Snacks are essential, as are plates, cups, and drinks, and if you want to have more fun, games would also be a good idea. Another activity on a picnic is taking cute pictures with your friends and making wonderful memories.

  1. Water park:

Now that the weather is getting warmer by the day, having a splash day sounds like a cooling day with your friends! There are many options for waterparks here in Austin, like Schlitterbahn, Volente Beach, and Typhoon Texas. The cost of admissions for each one of these is a bit pricey, but worth the fun! The cost of admissions for Schlitterbhan is $49.99. The cost for Typhoon Texas is 39.99 (online) and 44.99 (gate). Lastly, for Volente Beach, the admission cost on the weekends would be $20, and on weekdays it is $15.
