Food & Beverages:

The Austin rodeo offers a bunch of food options including drinks and desserts, sure they’re not free but it’s worth the money!! In my opinion the food is the best thing there, sure the rides are fun but who doesn’t like food. The food is everything, you have so many options to choose from, for example a turkey leg, pizza, fries, corn dogs etc.. & if you don’t want any greasy food there are also desserts like funnel cakes, cotton candy, fried oreos, candy apples etc.. Now there aren’t many drink options but it still helps with the thirstiness, but there’s water, sodas, lemonade, alcohol (for the adults over 21+) slurpees etc…

What we recommend to get is the turkey leg (make sure to add salsa Valentina) with a soda on the side, that is my personal favorite, ending it with an amazing funnel cake. I also recommend trying all the foods if you can, trust it’ll be worth it.

Another thing is that the vendors only accept magic money (a card with digital credits) or credit/debit cards, unfortunately they do NOT accept cash !!! Make sure to not forget your cards!

Rides:

The Austin Rodeo offers a variety of fun rides. They not only include big rides for many people including teenagers and/or adults, but they also have many fun rides for kids. They offer over 80 rides, some of these are, The Genesis, Alien Abduction, Air Max, Arctic Blast, Poll Position, Fireball, Kamikaze, Ring of Fire, Flashback and the Super Shot. Some of the kid friendly rides are Bear Affair, the mystery machine, the train and the bumper carts. And lastly of course they offer the famous Ferris Wheel and the Carrousel.

For all of the rides you have to have a wristband. The daily unlimited wristband which is $45 each is the most popular. Even though it might seem pricey it really isn’t, this wristband included unlimited rides for the whole day. If you don’t get a wristband then you have to individually pay $2-$10 for each ride. During spring break and after school days, the wristbands price are lowered to $25 each.

There is only one ride in which you have to pay for even if you have the unlimited wristband which is the Power Booster in which you have to pay a small amount of okey varying from $4-$6 each person. The reason that this ride has an additional cost is due to the fact that it is one of the biggest thrill rides that they offer and there is always a long line for that ride.
