As the weather cools down, coffee shops everywhere are bringing back their fall menu items. Starbucks just dropped its lineup, and it has a mix of old favorites and a few new items to try this fall season. Whether you are looking for a pick me up for a caffeine boost before your first period class or a sweet treat to enjoy after a long school day, here is what is worth giving a try on your next run.
Up first is the Black Cat Frappuccino which is coming to stores on October 22nd. It’s a chocolate cake flavored frappuccino that is topped with whipped cream and small chocolate ears to give it that spooky look. Since it is very sweet, it tastes way more like you are enjoying a dessert rather than drinking an actual coffee. This makes it a fun option if you want to get in the Halloween spirit and enjoy a spooky treat.
If you actually have a need for caffeine to survive the long block schedule, the Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso is easily one of the best choices for this need on the menu. It mixes blonde espresso, oat milk, and brown sugar syrup, and is topped with pumpkin cream cold foam with a dash of pumpkin spice. The strong espresso helps balance out the sweet cold foam so that it’s not so sweet to the point that it is overpowering still giving you that fall flavor.
Now for the food: the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is finally making its return. It’s a soft muffin that has a sweet cream cheese center and has pumpkin seeds on the top for a nice and crunchy texture. It is a great snack to grab on your way to school, and it goes well with a cold brew or iced drink.
These seasonal drinks and food items usually leave the menu once fall is getting ready to end, so make sure that you try them while they are still around and before it is too late.
